Travel-friendly longboard
The longboard was designed to be easy to take with you when traveling. It had to be short enough to fit on the back of a backpack, not hit the ground when carrying but still be long enough for a comfortable ride.
Production
I 3D printed and created concrete molds based on the digital design. With a hydraulic press, I then shaped 7 layers of bamboo into the final design.
Bamboo board
The deck design resembles a drop-down longboard, close to the ground for a buttery smooth ride. It was designed to handle almost any person without bottoming out. The profile curve of the board spreads the weight towards the trucks, which results in a design that never touches the ground.
